| Mom knows best, right? Then a mom that is a doctor must know everything! MD Moms is a company run by 2 moms that are also pediatricians. They created Baby Silk, the first the first personal care product line developed just for babies. As pediatricians they know that a baby's skin needs pure and effective ingredients that are gentle enough for sensitive skin but are still highly effective. It also needs protection from environmental damage. As moms they know that what parents need are products that can do double duty, have dual usages. Specially formulated so that small doses does provide big results and packaged so that it is easy to travel with since we are always on the go. |
Just because it is winter, doesn't mean that you shouldn't still be concerned about sun exposure. Especially where I live, where it snows a lot, the reflection of the sun's harmful rays off the snow is especially harsh. I saw Baby Silk featured on The View and had the chance to review Baby Silk's Babysafe Sunscreen Towelettes with SPF 30+ Broad Spectrum Sunscreen. I had Jake right in the middle of summer and I went looking for some sunscreen but all of them said not to use on babies younger than 3 months. Baby Silk's sunscreen towelettes are safe for babies of all ages, even under 6 months. They contain physical sunscreens (containing titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide) are not absorbed into the skin, but rather sit on its surface and reflect, scatter and block UVA and UVB rays. These ingredients are less irritating, in general, and are immediately active upon application. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Dermatology advocate their use on children. Baby Silk's sunscreen towelette. |
| Each towelette promised to be enough to cover a baby from head to toe. I was a little wary since I have a large child. I was also worrisome because Luke has eczema and I always worry about putting things on his skin. The towelette was soft and did indeed cover him completely. It didn't cause any flare ups of his eczema and I loved that he didn't feel greasy or sticky. Remember when I talked about MD Mom's understanding that products should have dual uses? Here is their "Double Duty Beauty Tip" for this individual towelettes: |
Double Duty Beauty Tip: Tuck these into your kids' backpack or lunchbox when they go back to school. They're an easy way to protect from UV rays during recess or after-school sports. When winter rolls around, slip a single into the pocket of your ski jacket before hitting the slopes. Baby Silk's Babysafe Sunscreen Towelettes with SPF 30+ Broad Spectrum Sunscreen come in travel size single packs which you can buy a package of 3 for $7.50. You can also purchase a 15-pack resealable pouch for $26.00. You can purchase their products directly at MD Moms.com or at Drugstore.com. |
